The Bell

As the Editor of a monthly car club news letter in the New York Metro area I was given a can of Gibbs back in August 2006 to try out and write up a product review. I researched it on the internet and among it's many outstanding attributes I saw Cole Foster of Salinas Boys use it to protect a bare steel 1936 Ford coupe from the elements both indoors and outside. So I went to the side of my shed and pulled from the weeds 1966 Ford automatic aluminum bell housing. After sandblasting it I painted a stripe on it to give me a treated & untreated side. I applied 3 coats of Gibbs on one side by spraying the Gibbs on a rag then wiping on the aluminum, 2 coats the first time and one more coat the next day. After it dried I dipped it in salt water to simulate road conditions up here in the northeast. I then tossed the bell housing back on the side of my shed. It sat through the fall, it sat through the winter and into spring. You can see for yourself, the pictures you are looking at were taken November 2007.
GIBBS BRAND LUBRICANT is preferred by automotive mechanics, machine rebuilders, race car drivers, truckers, bikers, antique machine collectors, and farmers.

Gibb treated side shows no oxidation or corrosion even after being dipped in salt water and left to sit outside for over a year!
